The Project.

The Muori Project was first conceived back in Strasbourg back in 2008 by the students Dario Cataldi, Andrea Pilia and Adriano di Leo. During their time in Strasbourg, they decided to launch a blog to share their experiences: www.lesbaguettesdumal.com
During this time they began to compulsively shoot photographs and videos and once back in Italy they decided to sift through their material, review them and collect them to form a project. This project would focus on an ironic vision of death they called “Muori” (Muori translates to “Die” in English).[more]

The photographs feature people “dying” in unusual and often bizarre situations, always with an ironic touch and the feel of a 20th Century family portrait.
In 2012 the photographer Paolo Ippolito join the project “Muori” as well.
Their online blog has now become a showcase for the Muori Project and has spread to social networks where other people have begun getting involved, sharing and uploading their own pictures.

Now in 2013, Muori will meet Impossible to celebrate the creative potential of a legendary format: 8 x 10 Black and White Instant Film. A newly expanded 10 person team will use this format to produce a special “Muori” series. These photographs will serve as a wonderfully creative and unique introduction to the 8 x 10 film with exhibitions in our Partner Stores following in Paris, Barcelona, Rome and Vienna.
